Garba

Garba is a gujarati folk dance performed during the festival of Navratri. Men and women dance in a circle around a lamp or statue of goddess Amba. Every year , GLS organises “Sheri Garba” to let students groove to the foot-tapping numbers in traditional 'kediyu' and 'chaniya-choli' swaying to the tunes of traditional songs like 'Pankhida re' and 'Ma taro garbojhankamjhol'. We, at GLS ( J P Shah) IBA attempt to upkeep our customs and traditions with the flavour of festivity.
