Day 5 -FUNWEEK- FUNFAIR
We at FOBA celebrated the festive spirit with a whole week of fun, culminating in a grand finale – the Funfair! The grandiose event was held on 30th December 2023. Imagine a vibrant marketplace run by students, their stalls bursting with delicious food, unique crafts, and exciting games. But this wasn't just about candy floss and cotton candy; it was a secret mission to turn our students into business superstars! They learned teamwork, finance magic, and the art of making customers smile, all while having a blast. The best part? They planned, marketed, and ran the whole thing themselves! So come join the applause and witness the magic of Funfair – a celebration of learning, laughter, and student power!
The highlights of the event were:
There were total 25 number of stalls. Each stall had unique items for their customers. The stalls included items like fusion food dishes, unique games, quirky items, hand-made handicrafts and many other exciting things.
Nearly, 148 students registered themselves in managing their own stalls. Apart from them, other students readily participated and enjoyed in volunteering for managing, decorating, etc. to make funfair a mega successful event.
Each stall was given a unique name and students designed their own logos and posters to market their stalls.
The following three judges were invited to review students’ stalls and announce the best prizes.
Day 4 - FUNWEEK - Khel Khel Mein and Traditional D
When you have a lot to put on for your studies, there's always the college celebrating the fun week with different days for different reasons, which ends up offering the students more joy and more happiness. So, this was the day all about khel khel mein with traditional attires. There were two games in this, one of which was musical chair after the relay race. All of the FOBA students wore fantastic traditional clothes, with girls wearing sarees and boys wearing kurtas, giving the impression that GLS was getting ready for the wedding celebrations. You would be shocked to learn that faculty members participated in this activity in addition to students by donning the costumes.
It was all set and the game started with musical chair, it was looking way more interesting to see students playing in the sarees and kurtas. Second was a relay race which was funnier to see but very interesting. The game was like there were 5 teams with the 5 members and each member need to perform one activity, first one was that the 1st person from team will run to another end, there we kept a bowl full of wheat flour in which the chocolate was hidden, the member will use his/her mouth to find the chocolate, no hands were allowed. Then he will come to the starting point and 2nd person has to go with the spoon in the mouth with lemon and then the 3rd person will go blow the balloon came to starting point and burst it by sitting, 4th was to go and drink the bitter soup and last one was the frog race, the team which completes it earlier is the winner. The winners of both the games were given prizes and students enjoyed a lot.
As we further know that every event is incomplete without garba so at last there was only music and the student and the faculties playing garba which made the place felt like heaven. And thus the day end with the heart full of smiles in each and every student.
Day 4 Fun Week- Fun Fair
The fourth day was all about fun, frenzy and food. Students put up food stalls, product stalls and game stalls. The fun fair reflected the spirit, vibes and energy of the carnival. Around 200 students participated across 24 stalls of food, beverages and games. More than 1000 students and their family members reveled in this one of its kind event. This gave an opportunity to students to put all the management lessons in practice that they learn in classroom.
Day 3 - FUNWEEK - Housie & Bollywood Day
Musical housie was conducted on 28 December 2023. The students enjoyed the housie with a twist and they also made them play games and singing throughout. Bolleywood day was also celebrated by the students where they walked down the ramp with vibrant colours and mismatched clothes.
Bollywood Day:
On the third day (28 December 2023) students celebrated Bollywood Day and Housie. In the Bollywood celebration students enjoyed dressing up in Bollywood Character Dress Up.
Students displayed their fashion talent to its best on this day. This day was celebrated with rampwalk where each movie character displayed their acting, dancing and singing skills.
The students were throughout appreciated and awarded as the day was throughout engaging and eye-pleasing.
Housie:
On the same day, more than 250 students participated in the game of housie. The housie was also conducted by students of FOBA – Stuti Shah (Sem II Hons) and Sahil (Sem IV). Students had to guess the numbers from the songs that were played and scratch out the card.
The housie had prizes in total Seven categories:

Day 2 - FUNWEEK - Annual Day
FOBA celebrates its fun week every year in the last week of December. As a part of this tradition- fun week, annual function was held on 27/12/2023 at Thakorbhai Desai Hall from 11 A.M. to 3.30 P.M. The theme of this day was “Culture Curry 2023”. Following events were show cased on this day.

Third Year Student’s Dance
Antakshri
All the above performances were guided by faculties of FOBA and professionals in the respective fields. Antakshri had 4 teams with contestants from both faculties and students. Students and faculties gelled with each other beautifully.
It was an extraordinary day filled with mesmerizing performances and cherished memories. More than 200 students participated in various performances and the show was anchored by 7 talented anchors. The hall was full of enthusiast audience comprising of teaching and non-teaching staff and students of FOBA.
Day 1 - FUNWEEK - Sports Day
The highly anticipated sports day, held on 26th December, 2023 by Faculty of Business Administration at Gujarat Vidyapeeth ground was a vibrant celebration of athleticism and teamwork. The events were volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, and athletics highlighting the exhilarating performances, notable achievements, and the infectious energy that permeated throughout the day.
From track and field events like relay race, shotput, and javelin throw to team competitions like badminton, volleyball, kabaddi, etc, the sports day showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of the participants.
Maujmela
Maujmela was organised on 19th February 2023, Sunday at Sollywood.
The Maujmela funfair was a very successful event since it made an impression on those young minds that they would carry for their lives. The coordination and cooperation from the team was also very commendable since they were able to rally and motivate so many volunteers who gave their best in order to make this event a happy one. It was a great opportunity. We had a lot of fun with the kids and learned a lot. Thank you so much for this opportunity. It was great seeing kids smiling and enjoying themselves. The event was fun and went smooth, sure there was lot of confusion in the beginning with the decorations and arrangements but ultimately it was a fun experience with the children.
Day 5 Fun Week- Khel Khel Mein
On the last day, White and Blue day and also students played the games that they had played in their childhood. Games like musical chair was enjoyed the most by students.
The fun week also saw celebrations of group day, White and Blue day, Signature day and Favourite Character day.
Day 3 Fun Week- Character Day/Group Day
The students celebrated Character Day and Group Day on the same day in the later half. The students played various competitive games together and prizes were given as well.
Day 2 Fun Week- Annual Day Function
The second day was Annual Day Function (27 December 2022). Students performed dances, skit, songs, fashion show and the show ended with the game of Antakshari between students and faculty members.
Day 1 Fun Week- Mismatch Day
GLS University’s Faculty of Business Administration celebrated Fun Week from 26th December 2022 to 30 December 2022.
On the first day (26 December 2022) students celebrated Mismatch Day and Housie. In the Mismatch celebration students enjoyed by dressing up in weird combinations like shirt and dhoti or kurta and shorts. On the same day, more than 250 students participated in the game of housie. The housie was also conducted by students of FOBA – Stuti Shah (Sem II Hons) and Sahil (Sem IV). Students had to guess the numbers from the songs that were played and scratch out the card.
FUN WEEK -DAY 4 - KHEL KHEL ME
Khel Khel Mein competition was organised as a part of a fun week. Many students actively participated in the same. Fun competitions like MUSICAL CHAIR, RED LIGHT & GREEN LIGHT and RELAY RACE were organised.
FUN WEEK -DAY 3 - Funfood Squad
Looking upon the situation of covid it was important to follow SOPs. The enthusiasm of students was very high so it was being decided that there will be limited stalls and no fire cooking. Students were instructed to get register first and also to submit not only their experience but the calculation (Income and Expenses). In the limited time slot of 1.5 hours, students showcased their talent with their decorative, attractive, delicious dishes like Tacos, Monaco topping, Indian Chats and mocktails. It can be summarized that Fun Food Squad was the perfect example of teamwork, time management and optimum utilization of resources. To maintain the spirit of competition each stall was being judged by the experts on the criteria of Taste, Presentation and Price.
FUN WEEK -DAY 2 - Groom and Go
This day is for students only where they show their talent and confidence for on stage activities like Dance, Singing, Standup Comedy, Shayri, Poem Recitation, Mimicry etc. This event provides an opportunity for students to show their talent and develop their confidence level.
FUN WEEK -DAY-1 - GOLMAL (BOLLYWOOD HOUSIE)
The objective of having this event is to provide an opportunity for the students to enjoy themselves with their classmates with fun. The student club also represents their activity as per individual club with quizzes for the audience. Screening of the short movies was done on that day and all those were made by the students only. It was the first day of a fun week and students enjoyed it thoroughly.
FUN WEEK
Recreation is one of the important joys of life and we at GLSBBA believe in doing same. Fun week 2020 was organized virtually this time from 26th December 2020 and went upto 31st December 2020. Each day was celebrated on different themes such as Fastest finger first (online quiz), Salad dressing, Housie (online tambola) and Hum sath sath hain (group day). The enthusiasm was same among the students like it used to be on campus with around more than 500 students participating in the same. Winners of each event were announced with prizes.
Fun week 2019
Recreation is one of the important elements of life. It rejoices and refreshes everyone. GLS (J.P.Shah) Institute of Business administration had a fun week from 24th December 2019 to 30th December 2019 for the students. Each day of this week was very special in its own way as named GOLMAAL (On stage Activities), HUM SATH SATH HAI (Group Day), KHEL KHEL ME (Outdoor Games), FUN FOOD SQUAD. The activities are designed as in a way to make this week fun filled for students which they will remember for the whole year and wait eagerly for it.

Even though you’re growing up, you should never stop having fun! With this ideology FOBA (GLSBBA) celebrate certain days for the fun of the students. GLSIBA celebrated fun week from 26th December 2018 to 31st December 2018. Each day was on different themes and activities for students such as:

FUN WEEK 2016-17
Off Stage activities:
The Institute had organized off stage events as a part of FUN WEEK 2016 on 29 December 2016. The following competitions were held as a part of this event such as Salad Making, Mock tail Making, Cupcake Garnishing, Mehendi, Bridal Makeover (Makeup-Hairdo-Sari draping), Nail Art, Painting (water colors/poster colors/acrylic colors), Face/T-Shirt/Sneaker Painting, Pottery decoration, Jewelry making (quilling).
On stage activities:
On 30th December 2016, GLS BBA Faculty of Business Administration organized “On stage events†as a part of Fun week. On this day, students participated in various management events like JAM session, Business Plan presentation, Movie Making and Ad Mad. Such events enhances and sharpen the managerial, interpersonal and communication skills of the students. There were different winners for every competition from all FY, SY and TY students.
Fun Fair:
December is always an important month in any college student’s life as there are many events and party happening around. We, GLS BBA, as the college wanted students to not only enjoy but even learn with fun. Hence, we organized Fun-week from December 27th to 30th December, 2016. Funfair was a part of Fun-week that was held on its second day, i.e. December 28th, 2016.
